Rajasthan Royals Prepare for Crucial Match Against Punjab Kings
Mullanpur (Punjab) [India] - On April 4, Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain Sanju Samson is gearing up to lead his team once more as they get ready to take on the Punjab Kings (PBKS), who currently sit at the top of the table, at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium this Saturday.
With Rajasthan positioned ninth and having secured only one victory so far, they are eager to turn their fortunes around against a Punjab team that has won both of its initial matches.
In a pre-match press conference, Samson emphasized the significance of playing at home and the impact of fan support, particularly for Punjab, who will be returning to Mullanpur.
“Home games definitely play a crucial role in the conditions we all know, which can be advantageous if the toss favors you,” Samson remarked. “The morale and energy from the crowd certainly boost the home team. Punjab is coming back to their home ground after a long time, and they will have their fans cheering for them. We are looking forward to this challenge,” he added.
Samson, who participated as an Impact Player in the first three matches while Riyan Parag led the team, is now set to resume his full-time captaincy. Reflecting on his journey, he noted that each IPL season offers new opportunities for personal and professional growth.
“Every IPL season brings something fresh to my career and my challenges. I have embraced it, and I’m eager to see how I can contribute across all three aspects of the game,” Samson stated, hinting at his all-around capabilities with the bat, gloves, and as a leader.
As Rajasthan seeks to improve their standings, all eyes will be on how Samson leads his team against the formidable Punjab Kings.
